Group By

You may also group the entries in a Find List by one or multiple fields.

 

The following steps illustrate the use of the Group By feature:

 

First you must select a Find List.  For example, select Find Bill

 

Once the Find List is displayed, either right click the mouse in the grid and select the Group By option or click on the dropdown arrow on the Find button in the toolbar and select the Group By option. 

 

When you do this, the header section of the Find List will display the following message "Drag a column header here to group by that column." 

 

Click on a column heading and holding the mouse key down, drag the column heading into the area specified. 

 

For example, if you are displaying the Find Bill list and you drag the Vendor ID column heading into the group by area, one line will display for each vendor. 

 

Click on the "+" located by the Vendor ID to expand the documents for an individual vendor.  

 

You may group on additional fields by dragging the column headings into the designated area.
