Price

Price represents the dollar amount charged per unit sold and defaults as follows: 

If the Customer has a Default Price Level defined in Customers, the Item Sales Price table is searched using the Item, Customer Price Level and Quantity.  If there is an Item Sales Price record for the Item and Price Level with a quantity break equal to or less than the invoice transaction Quantity, the Discount Price on the Item Sales Price table is defaulted into the Price field.

Otherwise the amount entered in the Unit Price field in Items is the default. 

The use of a price is optional. 

If both Quantity and Price are not equal to zero, the default value of Amount is calculated as Quantity times

Price.
