Recurring Journal Entry allows you to setup and maintain repetitive journal entries that occur on a scheduled periodic basis, such as monthly or quarterly cost allocations.

1.  Enter recurring journal information and click on Save to save the recurring journal entry template. See Journal Entry documentation for a detailed explanation of each field on the Recurring Journal Entry application.

NOTE: A unique Recurring No. is required for each recurring journal entry.  If you leave the field blank, when you save the recurring journal entry, the next available number will be assigned an id with "RJ" as a prefix and by adding one to Last Recurring Journal Entry in the Company Setup - Document Tab.

2. Use Schedule to setup the recurring journal entry cycle information such as the number of  cycles, day of month or week and when to start the recurring journal entry.

3.  Use Generate Recurring to create all of the journal entries for a recurring journal entry template. See also, Generate Recurring Journal Entries for an explanation of generating one journal at a time.

4.  Use Apply Changes to update journal entries for the recurring journal entry template with any modifications that you make to the template, after Generate Recurring has been processed.

5.  Use Find Recurring Journal Entry to locate and retrieve an existing recurring journal entry template.

6. Click Reports in the Toolbar to display the selection screen for the Recurring JE Journal History report.  The Recurring Journal ID will default to the Recurring No. you are currently viewing.  Click Preview to view a list of the journals generated from the recurring journal entry template.
