Format is the specific invoice layout assigned to the invoices to be printed.  The format for a specific invoice or credit memo is determined as follows:

 

If the invoice or credit memo is for a specific job and the job has an Invoice Format defined in Jobs, the job invoice format is used;

 

If the customer assigned to the invoice or credit memo has an Invoice Format defined in Customers, the customer invoice format is used;

 

Otherwise, the Default Invoice Format in Company Setup is used.
