Post Date

Post Date is the date the item receipt will be recorded in the general ledger and defaults to current system date. Post Date can be changed to any future date or any previous date so long as the new date is after the Close Date entered in Company Setup. 

No item receipts may be added, changed or deleted if the item receipt post date is on or before the company's close date. 

Post Date is required to complete an item receipt.
