Enter A Customer Payment And Apply To An Invoice |

1. Access the Customer Payments application from the Activities menu or Shortcuts.
2. Select the Customer from whom you have received a payment and press Tab. As you enter a Customer in the Type-Thru drop box, ObjAcct will find the best match. You can also click on the down arrow at the right of the drop box to display the full list of customers. Scroll down the list until you find the desired customer and click to retrieve it for the payment.
3. Enter an identifier for the payment in Document Id. Fill in the Date, Payment Method, Deposit Account and Amount.
4. Optionally, you may select a Job and enter descriptive text in the Memo field.
5. All invoices with an open balance for the Customer are displayed in the detail section of the application. To apply the Customer Payment to an invoice, click on the box in the line item for the invoice and the Pay Amount will default to lesser of the Customer Payment Unapplied Amount or the Invoice Amount Due. If there is an Unapplied Amount remaining on the Customer Payment, you may apply that amount to another invoice.
6. Click on Save to save the Customer Payment and apply the payment to the Invoice(s).
