Normal Http Timeout

Top  Previous  Next

Normal Http Timeout is the number of seconds to wait for the remote server to respond in data entry screens before displaying the Retry message.

"Timeouts" are the period that ObjAcct will wait for a particular action to complete before issuing an error message. Timeouts are hit, and messages displayed, when there is either an Internet connectivity problem somewhere between the server and workstation or when the volume of data being handled for a given request (i.e. report, find, etc) makes a process take longer than the timeout for that process type is set for.

If the server cannot be accessed within the Timeout period, the following message is displayed:

" Cannot access Server: <Web Services URL>"

You may select Retry or Cancel.  Always try Retry at least once to see if the problem is temporary.
