Allow Modifications To Posted Documents

When Allow Modifications To Posted Documents is checked, documents that have been saved can be modified, unless other system controls or business logic prevent the modification.  For example, a document with a post date prior to the Fiscal Period Close Date cannot be modified and a customer invoice that has payments applied may not be modified. 

When Allow Entry of Opening Balances is not checked, balanced documents that have been saved, cannot be modified. Users will have to enter adjusting documents for any necessary changes.
