Classes

Classes is used to view and edit all existing classes that you have entered into ObjAcct.  A class is a way to further organize and categorize your accounts.  Classes are used in conjunction with accounts and subaccounts and can denote departments, divisions, sales regions or teams, cost centers or revenue centers.

 

The use of classes is optional.  You can make them required by selecting "Required" for the  Use Classesfield in Company Setup.  If you choose to make classes required, you will also be required to setup a default class that will be used when one is not entered.
