Apply A Credit Memo to A Customer Invoice |

1. Access the Find Customer Payment application from the Find Button dropdown list.
2. Locate the Customer Credit document that you wish to apply to an invoice and double-click on the line. You may need to change the Begin and End Date Range in the Find Customer Payment screen to locate the Customer Credit document. If you change the date range, you must click on the Refresh button to display documents in the new range.
Key in the Document Id in the Document Id column filter bar to quickly locate the Customer Credit. If you do not know the Document Id, you may filter on Customer, Document Type or Amount to help you locate the document. See Using Find Lists.
3. The Customer Credit will be loaded into the Customer Payment application and the Unapplied Amount will display the amount of the Customer Credit that may be applied to an open invoice. All invoices with an open balance for the Customer are displayed in the detail section of the application.
4. To apply the Customer Credit to an invoice, click on the box in the line item for the invoice and the Pay Amount will default to lesser of the Customer Credit Unapplied Amount or the Invoice Amount Due. If there is an Unapplied Amount remaining on the Customer Credit, you may apply that amount to another invoice.
5. Click on Save to apply the Customer Credit to the Invoice(s). |
