Account Category is used to view and edit all existing account categories that you have entered into ObjAcct. Account categories are groups of accounts with like account types, that you wish to report transaction activity together.
Account categories can also be used to require the entry of job information. In Company Setup Settings Tab, if you check the Require Job For Account Category field, each time you enter an account with an account category assigned to it in Chart of Accounts, you will also be required to enter a Job ID for the transaction.
