Post Date

Post Date is the date the check will be recorded in the general ledger and defaults to the current system date.  The check Post Date can be changed to any future date or any previous date so long as the new date is after the Close Date entered in Company Setup. 

No checks may be added, changed or deleted if the check date is on or before the company's close date.  A check Post Date is required to complete a check.
