Post Date

Post Date is the date the deposit will be recorded in the general ledger and defaults to current system date.  Post Date can be changed to any future date or any previous date so long as the new date is after the Close Date entered in Company Setup. 

No deposits may be added, changed or deleted if the date is on or before the company's close date. 

Post Date is required to complete a deposit.  Use the date of your actual bank deposit as the deposit date to easily identify deposits during reconciliation.
