Customize Screen allows you to modify the layouts and/or add additional validation and default logic to standard ObjAcctapplication screens.
The following applications work in conjunction with the Customize Screen functionality:
| • | Cancel Customizations allows you to abort any customizations that you in the process of implementing. |
| • | Save Customization saves the screen customizations that you have added to the screen while in the customization mode. |
| • | Remove Customizations will remove all customization to the ObjAcct screen and the standard ObjAcctlogic and layout will be displayed for the application. |
To customize an application, follow these steps:
1. Open the ObjAcct application that you wish to customize.
2. Click on the New button in the Toolbar to clear out any data in the screen.
3. Click on Customize Screen. The Application Title will change to "Customize Screen".
NOTE: If you wish to customize an application that has Edit Windows (List Screens), you will not be able to access Customize Screen from the menu. You must right click in the Status Bar of the Edit Window and Customize Screen, Save Customization, Cancel Customizations and Remove Customizations will be available.
4. Click on a field or caption that you wish to customize and right click on the mouse to access the Properties option. Click on Properties and the following window with the field property will be displayed.
5. You may change the Enabled property to make the field enterable or not enterable. You may hide a field by changing the Visible property to False or change the length, width and height of the field as well. Also, you may add special logic to the field in the On Enter and On Leave properties.
6. When you have completed all of your customizations, click on Save Customizations. The customizations will be saved and the screen will be closed.
7. Open the customized application and the customizations will be implemented.
