Create Sales Order

Use Create Sales Order to create a document recording product orders from customers.  Sales Orders will update the Quantity on Sales Order for each stocked item on the document.

 

Start by filling in the header section.  The required fields are AR Account, and Customer.  A unique sales order number is also required to complete a sales order.  If you do not enter one, the next available number will be assigned when you save the header section of the screen.  To determine the last sales order number used, look at the Last Sales Order Doc Nbr in Company Setup.

 

Next fill out the transaction section.  You can enter as many transaction details as you need.  When you have entered all the transactions for the sales order, click on the Save button in the tool bar to save the document to the database and to calculate sales taxes and the sales order total amount. 

 

To see a list of all existing sales orders, click on the Find button in the toolbar.
