Balance Sheet By Class

Top  Previous  Next

The Balance Sheet by Class report shows a snapshot of the company's account balances as of the report date for each class .  The report date defaults to the current date but can be changed to any other date.

The Balance Sheet by Class has two main totals, Assets and Liabilities & Equity.  Each of these is subtotaled into current and long-term portions.  The following account types compose current and long-term categories:

CURRENT ASSETS

LONG-TERM ASSETS

CURRENT LIABILITIES

LONG-TERM LIABILITIES

Bank

Fixed Assets

Accounts Payable

Long-Term Liabilities

Accounts Receivable

Other Assets

Credit Cards

Inventory

Other Current Liabilities

Other current Assets

After current and long-term, the hierarchy of subtotaling is Account Type, Account, Subaccount level 1, Subaccount level 2, Subaccount level 3, Subaccount level 4.

There is a page break at each change of class and the class name is displayed in the header.  The list of classes displayed may be changed by entering a single class ID number or by using wildcard characters to select more than one class.  An asterisk "*" matches the rest of the string.  Entering "S*" will cause all classes beginning with "S*" to be displayed.  A question mark "?" replaces a single character.  Entering "1??5" will cause every four-character class whose first character is a "1" and whose last character is a "5" to be listed.

Drilldown, or the ability to take a closer look at the transactions that generated a part of the report and the original documents that generated the transactions is available.
