Account Class Validation

Account Class Validation is used to view and edit account class combinations that you have entered into ObjAcct. 

 

ObjAcct will use these entries to validate account class combinations in the following applications, if Use Classes is set to "Required" in Company Setup AND Validate Classes By Account is checked. If you check the Validate Classes by Account, you must select an Account Class Validation Type

 

The possible values are: 

 

All - Selecting this validation type means that you must enter all valid account class combinations in the Account Class Validation list screen.

 

Exception - Selecting this validation type means that class validation will only be performed for those accounts that have entries in the Account Class Validation list screen.

 

Account class validations are performed in the following applications:

 

Journal Entry
Make Deposits
Write Checks
Enter Credit Card Charges
Enter Bills
Create Purchase Order
Create Estimate
Create Sales Order
Create Invoice/Credit Memo
Item List
Sales Tax List
